Registrar overview

Makes sure all skaters, coaches, officials and Executive members are registered with Skate Canada by using the online Skate Canada registration program. Registers judges and accountants as officials.

Registers the club for each skating year with Skate Canada.

Makes sure synchro team members (skating synchro only) are registered online
with the club and with Skate Canada.

Ensures members’ club registration(s) are completed correctly.

Is available to provide information and answer questions to members within 2
business days.

Informs all Executive of available days and sessions to accept on-going registration.

Makes all arrangements for registration dates and times designated by the
Executive. Executive must give dates and times to the registrar at least one week
before registration has to be posted.

Attends monthly Executive meetings and submits a written report.

Works with coaches on creating the session schedules.

The registration program, Uplifter, provides invoices to all parents/skaters on initial
registration and is accessible when parents need to access them. (Supplies invoices to all parent/ skaters on initial registration as well as throughout the year upon request)
The registrar adjusts invoices, such as necessary refunds for program registration and resends the corrected invoices to those families. -
Keeps Executive updated on registration numbers.

Arranges registration for Fall, Winter and Spring seasons and any extra ice times
throughout the year (eg. June Ice, December Ice etc. but coaches run Summer
school).

Support coaches with Summer School when necessary troubles with the Uplifter
program arises.

Works with Treasurer / Bookkeeper on all monies from registration.
